"Since I installed the PCIII I have probably put about 1000 miles on the bike.  It is running like an absolute dream!!  Initially after about a 100 mile test ride I checked the plugs and thought they looked a bit sooty.  It was cold though during that 100 miles and most of it was stop and go riding to work, etc. I decided to just keep riding it and check the plugs again at 1000 miles with the PCIII.  The riding for the last 1000 miles has varied from commuting to work to some outright thrashing of the Jackal (as much as I can thrash anyway) in the Loess Hills in Western Iowa... some nice roads there.  Anyway, the bike is pulling like a train, great throttle response and I have seen at least a 10% increase in fuel mileage of late.  I pulled the plugs today and they look great as well! I am very happy with the PCIII.  Maybe someday I'll have it custom mapped but it really seems to run great with the map you supplied."

"I've got a little over 400 miles on the PC III USB now and my only regret at this point is not getting it sooner. I was experiencing some pinging at ambient temps >85 degrees in the 4,000-5,000 rpm range with my 02 Guzzi LeMans.  After getting your pre-mapped PC III, the boys at MPH Cycles in Houston did a super job of installation & tweaking (accelerator pump feature) which has successfully eliminated pre-detonation throughout the entire rpm range and has been tested in high-90's temps.  Although I have no dyno charts or other qualitative evidence, the bike feels much more responsive than before and fuel mileage remains the same.  All in all, I am extremely satisfied with the performance of the PC III and kudos are definitely in order for you as you hit the map on the nose right out of the box."
Val Kerrigan - Allen, TX - '02 Le Mans

"Well after 3 months & 3 new maps from Hare Racing and 4 mapping changes by Todd Eagan from GuzziTech, I have a rideable Lemans. My engine stalling, crappy idle, poor mileage, hiccuping and lastly the pinging have been finally resolved (courtesy of Todd). I actually got 40MPG during mixed hiway and canyon running, sheer ectasy.
Just wanted to thank Todd Eagan (for all his expertise and kindness)... It's incredible how satisfying these bikes are when set up properly. Once again thanks and to all you Guzziphiles in need of aid check out Todd. A very satisfied Guzzi owner"

"The PCIII really does work! First I cut the airbox top, installed the Stucchi head pipes, crossover and Mistral muffs. I installed the PCIII. It runs much smoother at all rpm's now. As far as I am concerned, it was all very worth it. The bike runs like it should now. THANKS!"

Anthony Statz - San Antonio, TX - '01 EV

"Installed a PCIII on my 2000 V11 Sport this weekend. This is the best money spent on this bike to date! Most importantly it has improved throttle response between about 4k and 5k rpm. Used to be that if I cranked the throttle hard coming out of a corner with the revs just below 4k, the engine would knock badly. Nursing the revs up like I had to sure put a damper on a spirited ride. The PCIII solved 90% of this problem. I'm hoping to get a little more grunt out of the unit by getting a dyno tune. I did everything, which is not to say I did much -- the operation is dead-simple. Installing the unit is as simple as plugging it in to existing circuitry -- literally a 5-minute operation."

Michael D - Orange County, CA

"The PClll is the best improvement to your bike possible. Period. I've had for over a year with whatever map was closest to my configuration and couldn't be more happy... I decided to tinker, and after studying the tutorial material on the PC, it took me half a day but it turned out that it is a child's game as easy as 1-2-3. Whatever areas of throttle/RPM I was not 100% happy I could easily improve and test. Sure it takes some time and effort but the results are excellent."

Janus Z - Vancouver, BC

"Throttle response from 3500 up is much smoother, and it accelerates very cleanly to redline. It even feels a little stronger, fires up fast, and that buzziness between 4-5k rpm seems reduced tremendously... I can hardly believe it!!! Thanks again"

Mr. Metal Pants - San Diego, CA - '02 LeMans

"I'll start by saying you've got to love an installation where the hardest part is getting the tape off the Velcro that secures the Power Commander in place. Todd offered to load a custom map that was compatible with the mods I've done to my bike, so this truly was a plug and play upgrade. The results were to say the least, impressive, as the bike runs flawlessly with no part-throttle surging and shows excellent throttle response. The bike starts easier and idles smoothly. What impresses me the most is the completely sorted feeling the bike has. It feels like it spent the better part of a week at a tuning shop. The icing on the cake is Todd's commitment to after sales support. When was the last time a dealer contacted you to see if the product he sold you was performing to expectation?"

Ed Usinowicz - West Milford, NJ - '02 LeMans

"I've uploaded the Tom H's map from your site. Throttle response is dead on from anywhere in the rpm range and no funny spots (misses, coughs,etc.). I can tell that the bike is now taking full advantage of the modifications, open airbox and pipes. This thing pulls hard! Thanks for all your help."

Robert Domico - Youngstown, OH - V11 Sport

"Installed the PCIII yesterday in my LeMans.  My initial impression is positive; it truly seems to be a 'plug in and go' procedure. While I do not notice any real appreciable performance gains, my main focus was to eliminate the annoying lean condition (surging/missing) in the 2500-4000 rpm range I had once the engine warmed to operating temp., which is now gone!! Just want to thank you for all your help!!"

Jeff McClure - Rocklin, CA - '02 LeMans

"Todd, Thanks for your help installing the Power Commander in my new '02 Scura. I'm thrilled with the results! The Power Commander instantly cured ALL driveablity issues I had with my new bike. Gone is the stumbling, pinging and poor throttle response. Another pleasant benefit is the vastly improved bottom end power and willingness to 'pull' throughout the entire powerband. The hit above 5000 rpm is absolutely intoxicating! The bike just hurtles forward with an urgency that's all business, completely changing the personality of the bike. It now runs as mean as it looks!"

Roger Garlick - Castaic Lake, CA - '02 Scura

"Just spent a little time fine tuning my PCIII map with my computer... Rode the bike 62.7 miles a combination of Interstate at 70 mph in fifth @ 3800rpm, and secondary state Hwy. in fourth @ 4000 rpm. Pulled in to a station as soon as I arrived back in town and topped up the tank to the same fill point as before I left. Averaged it out to 44.4 mpg.!!! Eureka!!! To say I am pleased would be like saying an iceberg was a nice ice cube. I have never gotten better than 39 mpg driving 60 mph with a tail wind going down hill. Now I do not expect this good of mileage as an ongoing thing, but if it got 44 it should get at or near 40 in average road running if I keep it below 80 mph. Also a good indicator of the cleaner burn is that the exhaust is now a nice gray with a hint of brown and not the black sooty look that the muffler has always shown before. REALLY smooth power!!! Thank you for the help in accomplishing my goal in getting better fuel economy and such good performance from the Quota."

Richard Purcell - Quota

"Got the Power Commander installed in about 5 minutes. I took it for a test ride and was very pleasantly surprised at the improved throttle response. The bike really jumps off the line now. The low and midrange performance is significantly improved. The engine feels like it is running like it was designed to. I was thinking of getting a lower geared rear end because of the slightly sluggish performance around town. With the increased power at the lower end of the engine range, the gearing is fine now. With the cost of the Power Commander factored in, you save me over $400.00 and the hassle of refitting a new rear end. It's already paid for itself and is continuing to enhance my riding pleasure.
Many thanks."

Ted Ewert - Mill Valley, CA - '02 Stone

";...loaded the map you sent me and I am amazed at the throttle response. I was really shocked at how much smoother the throttle transition is. I believe its the best $300 I've ever spent on the bike. I really think I've gotten my moneys worth. Again many thanks."

Bill Murdock - Texarkana, TX - Jackal

"I was a bit skeptical of the idea of a Power Commander, because it seemed like a band aid to me. A chip or well designed map should be able to do the same thing that the PC III does. However, I had a chance to try one on my 2000 Quota, and I have to say that I am a reformed skeptic. Power is increased (by my seat of the pants dyno) everywhere. Stumbling when cold is eliminated. But most of all, low throttle openings used to be like a light switch - a nerve wracking experience when splitting lanes here in Los Angeles. With the Power Commander, power transitioning is very predictable and silky smooth. It's made my rush hour commute a lot less stressful, and canyon carving is much more easy. It's turned my bike into a much freindlier and powerful ride! You could spend years searching for the 'right' map, but the PC lets you ride a perfectly injected bike today!"

Kevin Seiler - Los Angeles, CA - Quota

"Just hooked up the Dynojet PC III and man what a difference. All bikes should run like this... spot on from low to high. What more could you ask for? Thanks to Todd Eagan and Dynojet for such a great mod. I'm amazed how well my PCIII'ed '00 Jackal ran great all day, and it got 44 mpg".

Tom Prescott - San Diego, CA - Jackal

"I installed the PC III this weekend. Easy job. About 20 minutes. Impressions: No more occasional cough at long lights when idling. Ran well and felt good. Noticeably stronger all the way up. No more "rush" as it hits 5k rpm's because it is pulling stronger in the 4's. Throttle response is more linear. Feels stronger up top. Try as I might, I cannot make it ping anymore under acceleration. No matter how many times I get off the freeway and do a sudden hard stop to see if I can make the engine stall, it doesn't happen. I doubt I'll ever downshift to pass anymore. I can say that drivability is 100%. No more occasional glitches. This bike just plain runs great!...what really tickles me was how well the bike runs. I mean it REALLY runs well! This thing is nailed now! I did a fast pass today around a sleeping cager in the left lane (Common problem here!) using a far left lane that had only less than 1000' before it merged into the cager. It was one of those moments where I thought "Aw, what the hell, go for it. If I run out of room I can always tap the brakes and fall back in behind him.". I whacked it WO with the engine at 5K rpm and running 55 mph. I thought my eyeballs were gonna compress as it neared redline. YeeHaww!!!!!!!! Holy crap! It accelerates hard! This kind of power is really intoxicating. I blew past the guy like he was standing still and had plenty of room to merge back in afterwards. Who'd have thought 80 HP at the rear wheel could be so much fun?! My thanks to Todd Eagan for the terrific work that was done to get the mapping in the PCIII so spot on! That little black box was the final touch in getting the bike 'just so'!"

Rich Maund - Chesapeake, Virginia - V11 Sport

"Just to let you know that I am very pleased with the way my '02 Guzzi Cal behaves with the PCIII installed. Uploading the new map into the PC3 was a breeze. The PC3 gives to my bike a much more linear response to the throttle inputs. There is no apparent drop or peak in power within the whole 1000-7000 rpm range. The bike runs smoother and is friendlier, if this is something that can be said of a bike. I also feel it delivers more power."

Karim Kabbabe - Tokyo, Japan - Cal Spec. Sport

"At first... I was a big skeptic of these gadgets. I am not any longer. At first the maps seemed to be just a bunch of wild ass guesses, and only made bikes run diferently, not really any better. I would put one on a customers bike if asked to. A ride around the block and I think,'Ho Hum if thats what people want'... Now its a brave new world. The way its done with the 'Tuning Link' setup with a gas analyzer, and a dyno with the automated correction program, well it just plain works. Very well too. Its like having an expert carb tuner replaced by a computer/software. I put one on a Rosso, used the map Todd Eagan made for a bike with the same pipes. I rode it home and back. 90 miles. Next morning I ordered 5 more of these gadgets. And now I have several on order for the 16m bikes, including my own. We have yet to take a bike to a dyno center, have been very pleased with the results of the maps as provided by T.E and Co. I humbly suggest you try one. It cures the mid range flat spot that you did'nt know was there till its gone..."

Michael Haven - www.mphcycles.com

"My 99 Bassa is a great bike, but ever since new though, the fuel injection never seemed to be set up right. It would cough and spit at lower rpms when not applying a solid dose of throttle. In an effort to get more power, I added a few hop-ups...After the mod's, the popping and farting became worse, so I got a Power Commander. Had it plugged in and mounted in less than 15 minutes, a monkey could do it, really! Took it out on the road and WOW! Like night and day. No more stumbling, much better ride-ability. I then downloaded one of the maps from GuzziTech... The bike ran just as well at the low end then, but the mid and high range was altered, as in an altered beast! Where it would start to accelerate like a turbo at 5,000 rpm before, now the power comes on about 4,000 rpm! And it keeps pulling too! Top gear speed has increased as well. Prior to the PC it did not want to go much over 110. Now it continues to pull even in 5th! The PC is the single best bang for the buck. When setup with the right map for your bike, it allows your bike to be at its best! My thanks go out to Todd & Nick / GuzziTech for doing most of the grunt work for me!"

"Power Commander's single plug snapped into place, and tuning begins... End results: HP went from 83 to 90.3 at the rear wheel, and Torque went from 61.4 to 68.3! The best part is Torque increased 12 pounds at 3500 and 9 pounds at 6000 with just a slight dip at 4700 rpm. Drivability is perfect at all rpms with no hesitation, surging, coughing or sputtering!!! It pulls like a freight train anywhere and rockets off like mad at 5000 rpm straight to rev limiter at 8600! No drop off either at those revs. For all the non believers in the PC, do a little research and find out how it works, I'm a believer, the PC was worth the money"

"Just installed a PC III on my '00 Jackal, and uploaded the map for a dead stock bike. Can't tell you how pleased I am. It actually feels like somebody threw a handful of horsepower at it, and in all the right spots, to boot. No earth-shattering news here... I just wanted to say thank you."

Ron K. - Houston, TX

"...Every day this week I have been changing between the 3 maps (Eagan did) to see which one is my favorite. The bike pulls stronger and quicker than ever before. There is one section of road that is straight for a distance and I used to hit about 80 to 85 in third gear before having to slow for the turn. Now when I drive that same stretch, my speedo shows over 100. I have not dyno-ed the bike but I feel confident saying that I now have at my disposal 20 to 25 percent more useable horsepower than I had previously and I have never been more pleased with my bike. I can just about lift my wheel in second gear coming up over the berms, and you all know how heavy a Guzzi is. When I was first discovering just how much more power my Jackal had, I not only wanted to thank Eagan (two of my favorites are his maps) but I wanted to kiss him too! I love the fact that I now have the ability try and test and modify what my injectors are doing and I am no longer afraid of making changes to the engine. If you have a newer Guzzi, and are happy with it the way it is, and you don't really care about top performance and all you do is lame highway driving, then save your money. Personally, the fact that ol' Guzzi is making F.I. bikes, and we now also have the ability to toy with them, and we get to experience real world performance with someone like Eagan helping to create maps, makes me all the more excited about my Guzzi. Anyone thinks I am exagerating performance gains, meet me on the roads and we will settle this."

Kevin DeShazer - Jackal

"WOW! My V11 Sport feels like a completely different bike.  In a very good, well dynamometered sort of way.
I have the Mistral carbon cans and the PCIII as mods... the amazing transformation with smoother throttle response, cleaning up the flat spot around 4100-4600 rpm, and all around better tuning (from the PCIII) is amazing.  In short, the M706-002 map I downloaded for my bike made it far more 'rideable'. Score a direct hit."

Patrick Roush - Spokane, Washington - V11 Sport

"It is so extremely smooth in the power delivery and now has a great rush on the top end it never had. Its like a new bike. While the downloaded map was good, having it custom mapped with 'Tuning Link' was definitely worth the money."
